Summary

You have now developed and tested three programs that set and query serial port control signals and issue serial commands from the bash prompt. That's quite a feat because you had a lot to learn about the internal workings and configuration of the Linux serial device driver. Fortunately, you discovered that the driver provides features that are capable of implementing the input and output Project Trailblazer access point requirements. Future system integration bash scripts can call setSerialSignal, getSerialSignal, and querySerial to communicate with the RFID tag reader, the display, and the red light/green light permission display.
